A decade of training
Dr. Vranis graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University before earning his medical degree on scholarship at the University of Maryland. There, he conducted research at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center — a leading institution for complex facial reconstruction — where his passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery first took shape.
He completed his residency at NYU Langone Health under the leadership of Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez, who performed one of the world’s first full-face transplants. He then refined his craft through a prestigious aesthetics fellowship under Drs. Calvert, Ghavami, Ordon, Chopra, Gabbay, and Perez — joining Dr. Ghavami in practice and operating on some of the world’s most recognizable faces.

Before plastic surgery — and before medicine — Dr. Vranis was a professional soccer player. At seventeen, he signed with Crystal Palace USA while attending Johns Hopkins. The discipline of life as an elite student-athlete now shapes how he approaches every patient: with patience, focus, and meticulous attention to detail.
Scholarly & Philanthropic Work
Dr. Vranis serves on the clinician advisory board for Face Forward International, providing pro bono reconstructive services to survivors of domestic abuse — work he considers among the most meaningful of his career. He has appeared on national platforms including Doctor Radio and the Don’t Die podcast, and has been featured in The New York Post, E! News, and NewBeauty. He is also a published author in peer-reviewed journals and a frequent presenter at national conferences.
